MICHAEL BRAUN, MD
A practicing radiologist since 1992
Dr. Braun is a board-certified, fellowship-trained radiologist specializing in interventional radiology. He graduated in 1986 from the University of Wisconsin Medical School. Following his diagnostic radiology residency, Dr. Braun completed an interventional radiology fellowship at Northwestern University staying on as an assistant professor. While an assistant professor he authored the textbook, Interventional Radiology Procedure Manual (Churchill Livingstone, 1997), scholarly publications and participated in research.
Dr. Braun is board certified by the American Board of Radiology in Interventional Radiology. He has served on numerous WPS, ACR and SIR national economic and medical policy committees. He was a councilor of the ACR, president of the Wisconsin Radiological Society and the MRRS. Dr. Braun has received numerous awards for his service, including fellowship in the American College of Radiology and the Society of Interventional Radiology. He has been named a local and regional Top Interventional Radiologist.
Dr. Braun’s interests in interventional radiology include procedures such as aortic stent grafting, complex chest interventional procedures, TIPS and salivary duct stone extraction. He is a Certified Clinical Densitometrist by the International Society of Clinical Densitometry.
Dr. Braun enjoys bicycling, fishing and alpine skiing in his free time.
